Dussehra celebrates the God Rama’s victory over the demon king Ravana and the triumph of good over evil. SKS world school celebrated Dussehra festival on 4th Oct 2019.
A special assembly was organized by ARAVLI HOUSE. They displayed outstanding dance performances followed by a very beautiful and lively short skit based on Ramananya was showcased by the students of class 6 to 9.
Students of classes 1to 5 (around 600+ students) along with, Principal, Head Mistress and teachers, participated in the Garba Dance, organized in the assembly ground of the school.
Students and teachers were in traditional attire to feel and live the auspicious occasion and enjoy the dance.
All these things were organized to increase the moral and spirit, showcasing the victory of good over evil.
Gandhi Jayanti Celebration
“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”The special assembly presented by Aravali house on the occasion of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’, 1st October 2019, was a sincere effort by the students of SKS World School to give a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi and encouraged them to think about his vision of ‘Swach Bharat’.

Say No To Plastic
Under the campaign of ‘Say No Plastic’ launched by Modi Ji students of SKS World School organized a rally with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students also raised slogans to make people aware “Remove Plastic, Save the Earth”, “Create a Clean Nation, Remove Plastic from Every House.” “Remove plastic, save your Life”.
Students visited different societies and made people aware that how much damage is done to the environment by using plastic. People were requested to not to use the things made of plastic. Principal Mrs. Renu Kumar Ji appreciated the zeal and enthusiasm of students.

‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning’. So, in a nutshell, SKS World School celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by Shivalik House on this day. The assembly began with the dance performance on ‘Ganesh Vandana’ followed by the thought and talk highlighting the contribution of teachers in a student’s life. September 5 is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – the second President of India who was a great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a teacher.
All the teachers welcomed by 9th class students and presented with kumkum on their forehead and as a token of respect and gratitude. Students also presented their amazing artwork prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers in the form of cards. In special morning assembly students presented songs, guessing game, skit and passing pillow game. The song highlighted the relationship of a baby and mother and it was dedicated to teachers who are considered to be the second parents of students. They mould their life with love, affection, dedication and hardwork.
The assembly was followed by a get-together of teachers. The Principal, Ms. Renu Kumar addressed all the teachers with her inspiring words. She thanked all the teachers for their diligence, sincerity and hard work. Thereafter, as a token of love and appreciation for them, teachers indulged in fun filled activities that marked the celebration. They sang, danced and played together creating memories to cherish forever. They reveled in the company of their fellow teachers, taking pride in their role as teachers who transform lives and create future. The day came to an end with the scrumptious lunch hosted by the school.

An Inter-class Painting Competition was organized for classes VI to VIII. Students were given three different topics that was ‘Water Conservation’, ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’ and ‘Save Water/Save Earth’. Students enjoyed colouring and exhibited fine art work.

Blue Colour Day
Blue is the colour of Sea and Sky. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, truth and heaven. In order to emphasize the importance of Blue colour, the kindergarten of SKS World School celebrated Blue colour day on 30th August, 2019.
Children along with their teacher were dressed –up in different shades of Blue colour attire and they carried blue colour objects and spoke few sentences about it.
SKS World School actively participated in the traditional Hindu Festival, Rakshabandhan with an aim to inculcare the feeling of fellowship in the mind of the students. It aimed to ease various social strains among the students, opening up the channels of expression among them, simultaneously giving the students an opportunity to work on our roles as human being keeping this viewpoint the school chose the Montessori section, to take a lead part in it as the feeling of love, care, fellowship and unity must develop in a child from his/her Primary age. Through this festival, the children revealed the bond of love and respect one must have for each other. They tied the sacred knot with the notion to serve as a protection for each other where no evil force could penetrate. The festival ended with a promise that we all are equal, with an aim to preserve our sacred humanity by over loyalty, trust and care for each other.
SKS World School participated in the Science Symposium in Aster Public School on 7th August 2019.
The topic on which the student had to prepare was Global Positioning System (GPS). The students with much enthusiasm and vigour participated and added one more feather to the crown of the school, by securing the First Position. Students of class 6th, 7th and 8th retained the pride of the school, under the skillful leadership of Ms. Neelam Prakash.

Independence Day Celebration
SKS World School celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with great patriotic fervour. This annual observance has a great significance and this special day is celebrated for commemorating our brave leaders and fighters of history who won us the freedom we are enjoying today.
The entire school was decorated with various works of art.
Principal, Mrs. Renu Kumar, unfurled the tricolour flag followed by an upbeat march past consisting of a number of students.
On this patriotic occasion, our students showcased a colorful spectacle of India’s vision. The blooming citizens of classes Nursery and KG were the ones whose zeal and zest made the program a success. The spirit of freedom and nationalism was well exhibited by the student-teachers of SKS through a spectrum of patriotic songs, speeches, skit on freedom fighters, songs and dance.
The students dressed up as freedom fighters, staged an awe inspiring play, in order to pay homage and tribute to the treasured stars of our nation.
Committed to the task of nation building, both faculty and student teachers at SKS pledged to serve their motherland through spreading education and serving the community. The program ended with the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere laced with patriotic undertones.
Rakhi Making Activity
Raksha Bandhan is a festival which is celebrated to strengthen the bond of love between a brother and sister. To commemorate this festival, a Rakhi Making Activity was organized for classes I and II on 5th August, 2019.
Girls made beautiful Rakhi’s using different decorative articles and boys made beautiful & creative cards for their sister.
Inter School Kho-Kho Competition
Sports play a major role in shaping the personality of a child.SKS World School conducted the Inter School Kho-Kho Competition.
Students participated in a sportive spirit with a great zeal. They wonderfully showcased the basics concerned about the sport -Building fitness, engaging in self defense and increasing concentration.
Getting on the way an inter-house Kho-Kho championship was organized in the school. All four houses (Shivalik, Satpura, Nilgiri & Aravali) had their teams ready for the event. All the players put their best efforts to make their team victorious. Satpura House Boys and Shivalik House Girls emerged as the winner of the match and declared as the champion of the trophy. The winner team and the participant teams were cheered by the staff and students as well.
Heritage Quiz Competition
SKS world school organized ‘Heritage Quiz Competition – 2019’ on 26th July with an aim to raise awareness among the students about conservation and management of heritage of India and to sensitize them about its rich cultural diversity. The competition was conducted for classes VI to VIII.
Four houses (Aravali, Nilgiri, Satpura, shivalik) participated with four participants from each house. The quiz started with warm up round consisting of verbal questions. Next came up the visual round. In this round, students were to identify the pictures of various heritage monuments displayed on screen. The last round was rapid fire round which enthralled the audience.
Points were awarded for each correct answer. Bonus points were also awarded for run over questions. The last part of the competition became more exciting as it ended in a tie between Nilgiri and Satpura houses. This was followed by an extra tie-breaker question which decided the runner up team. Shivalik house claimed the first position.
In between different rounds there were few questions for audience to keep their interest alive and make them a part of the activity. In the closely contested rounds all the participants displayed their awareness about the heritages of India. Result was declared after the mind boggling session of tie-breaker round. All the active competitors were loudly cheered and supported by their Co-House members.

Yellow Colour Day
On 26th July 2019, Pre Primary classes of our school celebrated yellow colour day and arrival of monsoon. Yellow colour signifies communication, enlightenment, sunlight and spirituality. Children recognized and indentified yellow colour through various activities: Coloring, tearing pasting with yellow colour was done. Children along with teacher were dressed in yellow colour attire. The whole corridor was decorated with yellow balloons and cut outs. The students of classes Pre Nursery, Nursery and Prep were brought out in open by their mentors with umbrella to enjoy music and dance.
Medal of Distinction

It was an immensely proud moment for SKS World School when Shagun Bhati of class IV-B brought home a Gold Medal for IEO (International English Olympiad), Medal of Distinction and Certificate of Distinction in IMO (International Maths Olympiad), NSO (National Science Olympiad) and NCO (National Cyber Olympiad).
The student participated with zeal and enthusiasm and made their alma mater proud by winning the coveted medals. SKS World School wishes her success in all her future endeavors.

Doha/Poem Recitation Competition
Doha/Poem Recitation Competition was conducted on 12th July, 2019 for class I and II at SKS World School.
The Children came up with different poems and dohas and recited them with great zeal and enthusiasm. Our respected Principal Ma’am and HM Ma’am felicitated all the position holders with certificates.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY AT SKS WORLD SCHOOL

At SKS World School the Investiture Ceremony was held on the 15th July, 2019 to announce the upcoming leaders and repose trust in them. The solemn ceremony started with lamp lighting ceremony by Principal Ms. Renu Kumar, Headmistress Ms. Alpana Srivastava along with guests. Ishwar Vandana was presented by the school choir followed by a group song and some mesmerizing dance performances.
The Investiture Ceremony for the new academic session was yet again a special occasion where the newly appointed Head Boy Vineet Saisagar and the Head Girl Aakanksha Sharma, along with their team of 30 Office Bearers, were prepared to donne the mantle of responsibility and to carry it out with utmost dedication. The distribution of badges were done by the respective House Incharges. The students pledged to carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence.
The oath was administered to the newly appointed council members to keep the school motto of “Knowledge, Wisdom, Success” in high esteem and enthusiasm by Principal Ma’am Ms. Renu Kumar, shared words of wisdom with the students motivating them to take the school to the next level and blessed them so that they can uphold the values of the school and keep the SKS World School’s flag flying high while discharging their duties honestly and impartially. She told the students that, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”.
The ceremony went off very well and the momentous ceremony left every child motivated and inspired.

Splash pool activity was celebrated in SKS World School premises on 8th and 9th May 2019 of Pre Nursery, Nursery and Prep classes.
They had a gala time as they decided to beat the heat with some splashing in water. The word “water activity” itself brings a smile on their face, so there was no end to their excitement when they were allowed to dip themselves in water. The only thing we could hear was “Splash, Splash, We Can Beat the Heat”.
SKS World School conducted the felicitation ceremony on 10th May 2019, (Friday).
Principal Ms Renu Kumar and HM Ms Alpana Srivastava felicitated the students who excelled and achieved wonderful results in the “Book Review” and “Book Quiz”.
GREEN COLOUR DAY
The kindergarten students of SKS World School celebrated Green Colour Day with fun and enthusiasm on 17th May 2019, (Friday) in the school Premises. The topic was keep Clean, keep Green. All the children along with their teachers were dressed up in green colour to celebrate this activity. As a part of this, the children planted plants in school premises.Their oratory skill was enhanced by conducting activity on stage where students were given chance to speak few lines on Save Environment and Plant more & more trees. All students enjoyed the day with full energy and happiness.
A Summer Camp is a supervised program for children conducted during the summer holidays. These activities keep children engaged during the summer vacation to furnish their artistic skill and at the same time improving their physical fitness.
This year also SKS World School Top school in Ghaziabad organized a summer camp program for the children, which was conducted from 21st May to 30th May 2019. Various activities were organized for the children under the strict supervision of teachers. In which they participated very actively. The activities were: Cooking without Fire, Pottery Making, Best out of Waste, Dance, Yoga, Swimming, Origami, Painting and Music. All the children with much fun and enthusiasm expressed their skill in these activities. They were able to discover their hidden talent in various fields, as they directly get the opportunity to try their hands at it. The last day of summer camp was reserved for the parents where they got the scope to witness the newly acquired skills of their wards which they achieved through this summer camp.
Earth Day Celebration
SKS World School Celebrated Earth Day to promote the awareness with solution to embrace a healthy and ustainable future on earth. Students performed enthusiastically in various activities like speech, skit and role play during special Earth Day Celebration morning assembly. Earth Day slogan, poster making and tree plantation drive were also held in school premises. School Principal also encouraged the students to imbibe some good habits to protect our planet and drove them to do their part to take care of our “Mother Earth”.
WATER WAKING EXPERIMENTS
This experiment is simple to set up and only requires items that are easily available in our kitchen. Materials required: – Fine glass of equal height, water, food coloring, and paper towel. This experiment is based on Capillary action.
COOKING WITHOUT FIRE
SKS World School, conducted an activity on Cooking without Fire to develop the skill of students in non-flame dishes.A weekly activity was organized in class where students learn various delicious and mouth-watering recepies like: Nariyal Laddo, Aloo Chaat, Bhel Puri, Bread Chaat.Students enjoyed while preparing the dishes at their fullest.
HEALTHY BODY – HEALTHY MIND
Yoga is one of the most recognized ways for enhancing our body and mind state-fit. Few minutes of yoga in morning or any time during the day is helpful in strengthening and maintaining good health and personality.
SKS World School students learn yoga on regular basis. They enjoyed a lot and feel relaxed and more energetic.
SKS World School Celebrates Orientation Day
“A parent is a teacher at home, a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
SKS World School, one of the best CBSE schools in Greater Noida West organised an orientation programme for the new parent solidarity on Saturday, 30th March, 2019 with a hope to make the beginning of the new session 2019-20 an exciting, successful and happy experience.Orientation programs are fantastic opportunities for parents to know what to expect in the coming year and also equip themselves for it. They also get to know the teachers in the different classes
The Orientation Programme for the parents of Grade Pre-Nursery to 9th students commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony and a welcome to all parents followed by a welcome song. Soulful song and dance performance were presented by students. The school explained the pattern for conducting examinations, the extracurricular activities, the support required from parents.
Our Honourable School principal Ms Renu Kumar thereafter greeted all those present for the program and thanked them for being a part of it.
She enlightened the parents with her words of wisdom and elaborated the spirit of school. She laid stress on effective communication between the teachers and parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the best could be done for the overall development of the students. She also gave tips on how to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future.
Vote of thanks was given to mark the commencement of program with a spirit of robust bonding between the school and the parents; in order to enable a most harmonious and beneficial learning process.

3rd Annual Function Celebration at SKS World School
SKS World School celebrated its 3 rd Annual day with vibrancy. The Annual Day of SKS World School is a moment of celebration where each and every child gets an opportunity to participate on the stage. It is a joyous occasion, which we all look forward to. For teachers it is a great opportunity, to showcase the talents they have nurtured in the children, and for the parents it is a matter of great pride to watch them on stage.
Founder of SKS institution Shri S.K.Sharma (Chairman) was the chief guest of the occasion.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp lending the occasion a ceremonious aura which was followed by the rendition of Ganesh Vandana by the school choir, thereby invoking the blessings of the lord of Wisdom.
Montessori presentations showcasing fairy tale, by fairy skit and fairy dance created the visual feast for the audience as it displayed the innocence and joyfulness of childhood.
Students presented different skits like Earth is beautiful, Beauty learns a lesson and revolution to give beautiful messages .The play also had musical elements to bring symphony and melody into life.
Pique of the day was the Prize Distribution Ceremony during which the meritorious students were felicitated for their hard work, dedication & for setting high standards of achievements in both scholastics and co-scholastic activities. Students who won laurels at the various international and national level competitions during the present academic session 2018 – 2019 were also feted.
The evening witnessed a colorful array of dances and musical acts. Chairman Shri S.K. Sharma applauded the efforts of students and teachers.
Mr.Mayank Gautam (Vice Chairman) addressed the gathering with his inspiring speech.
Vice Principal briefed the audience with the vision of the institution and intercultural learning programme and highlighting the academic achievements of the school students.
The day culminated with the presentation of the vote of thanks followed by National Anthem leaving the audience with a lovely resonance lasting in their minds. The entire programme was applauded by all.
Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan
A rally on Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan was organized by the students of SKS World School (V – VII classes) on 27 th January, 2019 (Sunday), to create awareness about cleanliness and Hygiene in the Society at Greater Noida organized by GNIDA. Students
performed Nukkad Natak and marched around 5 km in the city with slogans and music. It was an excellent awareness programme.
REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION AT SKS WORLD SCHOOLSKS World School celebrated India’s 70 th Republic Day on 25 th January, 2019 one day prior with immense pride and grandeur in the school assembly ground. 26th January holds an everlasting place in our National memory because it is the day when Modern India was born. To mark the importance of the day, the event began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Vice Principal Mrs Renu Kumar followed by the National Anthem. All staff of SKS World School saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves.
