Teacher’s Day Celebration
A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. Teaching is the most influential job in the world. Teachers are known to shape the mind of youth and without knowledge no one can exist in this world. Teacher imparts good values in children and turn them into responsible citizens. We celebrate Teacher’s Day because teachers have been the architect of the society and without them no society can walk in the path of progression. So, almost every country celebrates Teacher’s Day.
‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning’. So, in a nutshell, SKS World School celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by Shivalik House on this day. The assembly began with the dance performance on ‘Ganesh Vandana’ followed by the thought and talk highlighting the contribution of teachers in a student’s life. September 5 is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – the second President of India who was a great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a teacher.
All the teachers welcomed by 9th class students and presented with kumkum on their forehead and as a token of respect and gratitude. Students also presented their amazing artwork prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers in the form of cards. In special morning assembly students presented songs, guessing game, skit and passing pillow game. The song highlighted the relationship of a baby and mother and it was dedicated to teachers who are considered to be the second parents of students. They mould their life with love, affection, dedication and hardwork.
The assembly was followed by a get-together of teachers. The Principal, Ms. Renu Kumar addressed all the teachers with her inspiring words. She thanked all the teachers for their diligence, sincerity and hard work. Thereafter, as a token of love and appreciation for them, teachers indulged in fun filled activities that marked the celebration. They sang, danced and played together creating memories to cherish forever. They reveled in the company of their fellow teachers, taking pride in their role as teachers who transform lives and create future. The day came to an end with the scrumptious lunch hosted by the school.
