“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”
The special assembly presented by Aravali house on the occasion of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’, 1st October 2019, was a sincere effort by the students of SKS World School to give a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi and encouraged them to think about his vision of ‘Swach Bharat’.
The assembly began with a special tribute to our ‘Father of the Nation’, and an eloquent thought that emphasized the importance of the concept of non-violence. The highlight of assembly were anecdotes from Gandhiji’s life as a skit presented by the children showcased the role of Bapu in India’s struggle for freedom along with the growing awareness of the people, especially in the children about the cleanliness drive launched by the Indian Government, famously known as ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’.
The assembly was finally concluded with the performance on a beautiful song “De di hamain azadi bina khadag bina dhal” which filled the ambience with a feeling of patriotism for our country.
It was well appreciated by the Principal ma’am, Ms. Renu Kumar who encouraged the children to think about values of sacrifice and freedom. She emphasized the importance of the famous message quoted by Mahatma Gandhi , “ Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
